Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
Account email (via magic-link authentication), display name, role, invitation acceptance records, age confirmation timestamp (18+ only — we do not store date of birth), Terms acceptance version, reading progress, annotations, replies, discussion posts, and in-app notifications / preference settings.
2. How we use it
Data is used to operate the private reading circle: authenticate you, show manuscript chapters you are allowed to see, store your feedback for the author, notify you of replies and releases, and improve the product for this single-book project.
3. Processors
We host the app on Netlify and store auth/data with Supabase. Those providers process data under their terms in order to run the Site. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Retention & deletion
Feedback tied to the manuscript may be retained as long as the author keeps the project. You may request account deletion by contacting the author; residual backups or anonymized aggregates may persist for a limited time.
5. Cookies
Session cookies / local storage are used for authentication and reading preferences (theme, font size). We do not run third-party advertising trackers in MVP.
